Hi Trevor,
is there a way to show only child categories in the search dropdown field.
For example: When I click in the site-menu on a link to category A the search dropdown does not show categories B,C,D but only A1, A2, A3…I have 4 different main categories. Maybe I can create 4 different search fields and exclude the other categories. But how can I show the right search field in the sidebar?
What do you think?
Thanks

Trevor is off at the moment.
Can you explain which field the “search dropdown field” is?
Do you have a link I could look at?
Thanks

sorry at the moment I can not provide a link, cause the page is offline. The dropdown is a taxonomy field set for edd download categories.
When I’m in a specific main category, the taxonomy field should only show the subcategories of this category…?
Thanks
MatthiasRoss Moderator(Private) January 7, 2020 at 2:09 pm #230326Ah you mean when you visiting a taxonomy archive for example, you want the field to only show the current taxonomy archives children?
Right now this is not possible, however it may become possible.
We plan on having a drill down taxonomy field (so you select the parent, and new dropdown appears with the children), which, I guess you could hide the parent using CSS, to achieve something similar to what you want.. but this is of course not available / developed yet.
Thanks
