Hi,
I have a website with Polylang enabled.
For editorial reasons one of the post types doesn’t have multilingual enabled.
When I try to create a Search and Filter form for this specific post type, I never get results.
How can I get around this?
Thanks.

My temporary workaround is to enable the post type in PolyLang, treat every post as English and adjust S&F query to include English in all interface languages. This kind of works for my case, but now I have all the PolyLang interface options in a post type where I don’t need it.
Ross Moderator(Private) November 20, 2019 at 1:12 pm #227130Hi Guilherme
I’m trying to find some time to set aside for this.
It looks like as Polylang is evolving, we may need to write some custom code (or create a bridge plugin) to get S&F to integrate better – if thats the case, it will be something we push back once version 3 has been released (some months away yet).
I still need to spin up the dev environment and take a look though, hopefully later on today or tomorrow – I’ll let you know when I know more.
Thanks
Ross Moderator(Private) November 26, 2019 at 11:15 pm #227737Hi Guilherme
So I took a look in, and I’m seeing some issues.
We need to re-look at how we approach Polylang and build something custom to support it – I’ll have to reach out for some of their input and see what the best next steps are.
Are you ok, say, running the site as it is for a few months, then once v3 is out, we can address this properly together?
Thanks
Anonymous(Private) November 27, 2019 at 10:43 am #227753Sure.
The workaround we developed works fine, but it was tricky to test and configure.
It would be great if S&F could offer better support for polylang disabled post types or just let us configure polylang integration on a case by case basis.
Thank you.
