Hi there
I seem to be getting some unexpected results when activating/deactivating the “Enable Auto Count” feature and wonder if you can please clarify as follows –
What I want to achieve – get rid of the counts ie. numbers shown after each option but still calculate which options to hide in my tag, category, taxonomy & post meta (choice) fields eg. if user selects UK as the country, they should only see UK cities in the city field.
When I disable the auto-count, the counts for the category field still show up, whereas the counts disappear for other fields and they aren’t updated depending on the user choice. Clicking “clear the search” seems to stop working too.
Am I missing something?
Trevor(Private) October 30, 2019 at 1:47 pm #225095I am not sure what is causing what you are seeing, but, in the General settings tab of the form:
Set
Auto Count
(both settings) toON
And then in the Form UI:
In each field set
Hide Empty
toON
You do not need to show the count in each field for this to work.
It may be that something else is wrong.
Are you able to send me a live link/URL to your search page so I can take a look?
Anonymous(Private) October 30, 2019 at 2:01 pm #225103Thank you for getting back to me.
Above is exactly how I had the settings before but how do I stop the counts from being shown in each field? I assumed that’s what the Auto Count setting was for which is why I switched it off…
Unfortunately it’s currently only on a dev site on my local machine but will try to upload an example if I’m still stuck…
