Hi Search & Filter Pro Team,
I just recently started to use the new Gutenberg editor and noticed that I can’t categorize my posts anymore in the editor, because I can’t find the menu with the taxonomies anymore. Usually they were underneath the “categories” on the right hand side of the classic editor.
I’d send an image, but looks like it’s not possible within this text field.
I looked through the documentation and this forum, but couldn’t find the answer.
Thank you!
HaukeTrevor(Private) October 4, 2019 at 12:50 pm #222867I am sorry, but your license appears to have expired recently, did you renew it? If not, you will first need to renew the license to receive updates or support.
The appearance of Categories in the Gutenburg editor is not related to Search & Filter. You can see them in my basic test site here:
https://www.screencast.com/t/3JXhR7haGL
Then it is possible a security plugin is restricting access to the Rest API, which is needed for you to see them. For example, if have the Sucuri security plugin, go to WordPress Tweaks option, REST API, Restricted Access. You need to disable this feature to use Gutenburg.

Unfortunately Search and Pro won’t update. I’ve put the licence key into the activation field in wordpress and hit the button, but nothing happens. What else can I do? ๐
Thanks again!

But, the appearance of the Categories side meta box is NOT related to our plugin. It is a server/wordpress thing.
Anonymous(Private) October 25, 2019 at 10:22 am #224625Hi Trevor,
sorry for following up so late. Just updated to the new version and as you correctly assumed the appearance of the categories side meta box wasn’t related to it.
Do you have an idea where to search for a solution?
We use cloudlflare, wp rocket and wordfence that might have an influence.Thank you!
HaukeTrevor(Private) October 25, 2019 at 11:14 am #224633Hi
There are a number of threads on the WordPress support forums, like this one:

My guess would be Wordfence, but I use it, and I can see the Category meta box.
