Hi there. I bought your plugin today because the search filter than comes with the Enfold theme is rather limited.
I need to filter child categories of two parents. Ideally I’d have a simple search with two dropdowns like so:
Parent Category 1
Show All
Child 1
Child 2
etc…Parent Category 2
Show All
Child 1
Child 2
etc…Masonry grid here with results.
I tried following the steps from here https://support.searchandfilter.com/forums/topic/not-getting-acf-post-meta-working/#post-145421, but am not having any luck.
Thanks,
EricAnonymous(Private) January 28, 2019 at 6:46 pm #200303Hi. I installed the Post Grid plugin and created a grid using the settings from your web page. On the test page, I removed the Enfold Masonry element and created simple text container with:
[searchandfilter id=”3205″ action=”filter_next_query”]
[post_grid id=”3264″]This displays all the portfolio posts, but doesn’t display the S&F dropdown menu.
If I change that to:
[searchandfilter id=”3205″]
[post_grid id=”3264″]The S&F dropdown menu appears, but the post grid displays the wrong posts.
Not sure what I’m missing here. I’ve followed the instructions for configuring the filter and the post grid, but apparently have something crossed.
Anonymous(Private) January 28, 2019 at 6:59 pm #200313Thanks again for the speedy reply! That appears to work, but it looks like the portfolio posts haven’t been properly categorized on the backend yet… Seems like a good opportunity to experiment with custom taxonomies for the two categories my client wants to display dropdowns for.
