I have my shop page setup using a shortcode for S&F in the sidebar. The sidebar has all the search options listed for the customer to choose from.
The challenge is I have a search box first in the sidebar followed by a product categories dropdown. If customer types into the search box a search term let’s say “shirt” after a brief moment the page refreshes but none of the many shirts I have listed come up in the search. This is the same no matter what I type into the search box.
I can drill down on products using the product categories, but I need to be able to search using the box.
Help! 🙂
The standard text search in WordPress only searches the post/product title and the content, but none of the other fields, like product category. Is this why you see some missing? If it is, the standard text search can be changed by using Relevanssi:
