Greetings,
I really like your plugin.
I can’t seem to get the Ajax to work, though. Here’s what I’ve tried:
Note: I saw this page:
https://support.searchandfilter.com/forums/topic/divi-and-sf/#post-127431
and I’m not sure if it is intended to fix my issue and I can’t for the life of me understand how to setup the “Custom” Display Results Method as shown here:
https://searchandfilter.com/documentation/search-results/custom/
It all just goes over my head. What I’ve Tried:
Search Form Special Divi Method:
1. Clean Install of latest WP + Divi + Search & Filter Pro.
2. I’m not sure what is meant by a “fixed” page but I assume this is just search form and search results on a single WP page (built with Divi builder) and that is here:
https://dev3689.itedie.com/search-page-special-divi-method/
3./3a. Added “[searchandfilter id=”31″]” to a Divi Text module.
3b. Not applicable.
3c Added a Divi Code Module to the page with the javascript.
3b. This doesn’t apply as I’m not filtering posts for a blog (I will eventually be filtering a CPT and use Relevanssi).
4/4a. Set Auto Count (both settings) to ON.
4b. Set the Display Results Mode to: Custom (but could not follow the instructions: View the Custom setup instructions). Set the “Results URL” to: https://dev3689.itedie.com/search-page-special-divi-method/ .
4c. Not applicable.
4d. Added page ID: 32 (the Divi search form page) to “Exclude Post IDs” in Posts.Archive/search.php Method:
https://dev3689.itedie.com/search-page-divi/1. Clean Install of WP + Divi + Search & Filter Pro.
2. Made two pages with “Lorem Ipsum” text, one Standard WP Page, the other with Divi Builder in a Text Module.
3. Tried to follow what you do on Youtube and I get a message that there is no search.php. So, I copied the Divi index.php and renamed search.php in my Divi Child Theme. This made the notice go away. The form works on both Standard WP and Divi Search Form Pages. However, no Ajax. So, I added an area to the Divi Search Form and gave it an ID of “#search-results” and updated the Ajax container. No effect.
Display Results as a Shortcode Method:
https://dev3689.itedie.com/search-page-divi-display-results-method-shortcode/1. Added a new form and selected the Shortcode Method and added this to a new Search Page with Divi Bulder Text Module:
[searchandfilter id=”26″]
[searchandfilter id=”26″ show=”results”]2. Ajax works however, the Lrem Ipsum page built with the Divi builder now has Divi shortcodes in the tetual search summary snippet.
