Hi,
congratulations, this is really a great plugin. But: I’ve tried to setup the “Maintain Search Form State” option.
In my opinion this function should restore search & filter results when i come back from a details page. Right?
How do I setup this option correctly?
I’m using ajax for display filter results.
Regards

Maintain search form state means that if you click a link from your results, to another page with S&F in it, it will be “pre filled” with teh last search..
What you want is the “bookmarkable URLs” option – under “display results”.
Thanks

thank you for the answer.
It tested it but it didn’t work.
Ok, the “bookmarkable URLs” changes the URL when I change the filters.
Then I go click on a search result.
But when I come back (with the “go back” function of the browser or by a click on my breadcrumb navigation) the filter resulst are not restored. Everything is in initial state.Any ideas?

Currently, clicking back when browsing search results will only update the URL but not the results – I’m working on this for the next release.
However, if you click on a result and go through to the results page, clicking back should show the last results?
Do you have a link I could look at?
Thanks
Ross Moderator(Private) April 18, 2015 at 1:27 pm #15360Hey Sebastian, I didn’t login but took a look at the link – to me S&F is working as expected.
If you go here:
http://daten.purpix.de/04_hkw/branchen/gewerblich-technisch/?_sft_branchen=mechanik
And click on “KFZ Mechaniker Industrie Baugruppenmontage München (m/w)”, then click “back” in the browser, you are returned to the correct search results.
Thanks

Thats a better idea, I’m certainly planning on improving this so its just a matter of time before I get around to it.
If you turn off “maintain search form state”, you will still be able ot press “back” to be returned to search results – and your SEO will be unaffected.
The only reason to have this on is if you also have a search form on your product page:
http://daten.purpix.de/04_hkw/jobs/teststelle-altenpfleger-mw/?_sft_branchen=cnc-konventionell
And you want the various filters/dropdowns etc set to the last search. Thanks
