    Hi,

    Can you please advise on how/if I can display search results running along the page rather than down the page.

    I can’t seem to do this using the shortcode function and I am unable to do get either archive types to work – I am using the Impreza theme.

    Maybe you want the results in grid mode? The theme you mention includes WPBakery Page Builder (AKA Visual Composer). You can use this to make a grid. See this post:

    In the Post grid element, you can select the post design, and edit or make your own post layout.

    Hi Trevor,

    Thank you for your prompt reply.

    That’s a great start and its already looking much more like what we’re after – thank you. Is there a way to refine how the results are displayed further?

    The Post Grid element only seems to allow you to pick from number of predefined layouts and we would like to show the post title and corresponding meta data along with the featured image.

    We would also like to stylise the search from further.

    Where you pick the layout, there is an edit link, that takes you to the layout designer. Then away you go.

    Of course, thank you. So obvious, but so easily missed.

    Is there a way to edit the form itself please…and then I will leave you alone ; )

    If by that you mean styling, you would need to create Custom CSS. There are many snippets on various posts, so it depends what you need to do. For example, searching for horizontal css would most likely give you snippets that might work for you.
