Hi and happy holidays!
I am building a site using SFT pro and am trying to display results with specific urls. Technically I would like to have the filter on a page such as :http://example.com/activity-type/ and then when filtered, say by location the url would read http://example.com/activity-type/location-name
I tried doing the same using custom post types and custom taxonomies but it does not seem to be possible without some serious modifications of the re-write rules, which I have not done in years.
So something like this might be ok:
http://example.com/activity-type/?location=location-name, without the “_sft_” in the url variables. I looked through the plugin code and it seems I could change that slug but it would not survive updates.Any other ideas? Any help is appreciated.
thanks
Ken N.Trevor(Private) December 29, 2017 at 9:59 pm #149866Thanks for contacting us. What you want is currently not possible, but it is part of the next major release of Search & Filter Pro (V3) – probably in the second quarter of 2018. We plan to introduce ‘pretty permalinks’ to the options of that version. Removing it in the current version will stop the search from working.
HOWEVER
IF you are using a Post Type Archive search (which includes WooCommerce and Easy Digital Downloads display results methods), then there is an option to stay within the taxonomy for the URL.
