Hi,
We have Search & Filter set up to display via shortcode on a page.
It seems that newly created pages (not posts) are showing up in the search results and the fix is manually rebuilding the cache via the button on the search form. Is there a way to make this happen automatically? The search results do not display at all unless the “Pages” box is ticked on the search form alongside posts.
I checked the forum for this issue and didn’t find it, but if it’s there please point me to it.
Otherwise the plugin is working fantastically.
thanks in advance,

Newly created pages are or are not showing up in results?
Are you searching Pages or Post or Pages AND Posts? Are you saying that Pages don’t show up unless you tick Pages in the settings?
Sorry if I am a little confused.
Anonymous(Private) December 21, 2017 at 1:06 pm #148882Hi Trevor,
Newly created pages ARE showing up in search results, and are not supposed to. It should just be the posts.
The search is not supposed to show any pages. But if the “pages” is not ticked in the search settings, the search results which are on a page via shortcode do not show up.
The only way to not show the newly created pages which somehow show up in the search results is to refresh the cache so that page results are eliminated from the search results. We do not want to refresh the cache each time we add new content pages to the site in order for them not to show up in the search results.
I hope this is more clear? Thank you!
Trevor(Private) December 27, 2017 at 11:23 am #149548Hi
I could see nothing obviously wrong. I HAVE enabled to Auto Count settings in the General settings tab, as this sometimes fixes things.
However, I do see that you have Relevanssi installed, and that you have a text field in the search form, but you have not enabled support for Relevanssi in the Advanced settings of the form?
Do these pages appear when you search using Tags, Categories or the text search field?
The only other thing that I can think of is maybe one of the plugins is conflicting by modifying the query. When you next see the problem, can you immediately contact me, do not re-build the cache, describing the steps I need to take to see the problem page (and which page)?
