how to hide a filter depending on the choice of category or type of project?
I want specific filters to appear after selecting a specific type of project or category. For example, I choose category 1 or project 1 and the filter assigned to this type of project appears. When I choose a different project, a different filter appears.Trevor(Private) December 18, 2017 at 1:10 pm #148143This dependent behavior is not a feature of the current version of the plugin, but we are looking at it as a new feature for V3. Some users have achieved this using custom javascript, created by their own coders/freelancers. The js monitors the onchange of a field and then as the value changes, so it changes the CSS on each field to hide/reveal as required.
Trevor(Private) December 29, 2017 at 7:16 pm #149845I am sorry, but this is not an advertised feature of our plugin at this time. It may become part of the plugin in the future, but I have no information on that as of yet.
As I said, it should be possible to hire a freelancer coder to do this, but I do not have any code snippets that might help you.
It is possible to get the terms in any field to filter based on the choices made in another field (where not applicable terms disappear), but not to actually hide the field itself. Based on what you say, some fields would have no terms in them after you make a choice, and so the javascript you write could look for the empty fields and hide them.
