    I am wondering if it is this option on the Display Results settings tab that is what you are seeing:

    Template Options -> Enable filtering on Taxonomy Archives

    From the screenshots you sent, the Ajax Container setting is empty, which needs to be set, as you are using Ajax. It will be something like #main, .results or something like that. If I could see the live link/URL to your search page, I can take a look?
