    I’m getting google webmaster errors for a search page on my site.
    International Targeting | Language > ‘he’ – no return tags
    URLs for your site and alternate URLs in ‘he’ that do not have return tags.
    Originating URL Crawl date Alternate URL
    1 /?sfid=461&sf_paged=8 http://siteame.co.il/
    When you do ‘view page souce’ on the url sitename.co.il/?sfid=461&sf_paged=8 the hreflag tags are set as

    <link rel="alternate" hreflang="en" href="http://sitename.co.il/en/"/>
    <link rel="alternate" hreflang="he" href="http://sitename.co.il/"/>

    Should the href should link back to the search url page- ?sfid=461&sf_paged=8?
    Why am I getting this error? Do you know how this plugin works with hreflang tags?

    This is not a question I have come across before, and we have a lot of users who potentially WOULD be seeing the problem IF it came solely from Search & Filter. But you are the first to see this, as far as our forums are concerned.

    I did Google this:

    URLs for your site and alternate URLs in that do not have return tags

    And there is a lot of advice, like this:

    All the search result pages have the same hreflang tags in the page source.
    Why would googlewebmaster have singled out /?sfid=461&sf_paged=8
    /?sfid=461&sf_paged=7 is the same setup.

    The webmaster tools use the sitemap you provide. Depending on the tool/plugin that makes this for your site, you may need to change some settings so that it does not offer paged variations.
