Hi there! I have 3 taxonomies, and I found through much trial and error that if, for any post, not all three taxonomies are set to at least one value, the post does not display in my initial post grid. i have reviewed every setting the the forms, and have tried to toggle between ‘and’ and ‘or’, to no avail.

I can force my client to set all taxonomies, but it does not make sense to do so. Is there a setting or line of code that requires each post to have all taxonomies set?

I am using Search & Filter Pro and Search & Filter Pro VC

    Thank you for your help

Are you able to send me a live link/URL to your search page so I can take a look?

    Hi

I took a quick look at the form design (#3831) and on the Tags, Categories & Taxonomies tab, I can see multiple lines of includes. Each line completed acts as an AND operator and reduces the number of hits. ALL lines conditions of ‘includes’ would have to be met before a post will show.

Where possible, try to use only one set of values in one line. Make a note of what you have each line set to, and then clear them all to see the effect.

I am using the tool as recommended.

I have 3 taxonomies and if there is at least one value in each, it displays the post and filters appropriately. It is just if ONE of the taxonomies is not set, the the post does not display.

I am using the back end as set up, using the most up to date version, and do not have any added code.

This issue is that there appears to be a flaw, or i do not have a setting appropriately set (like an or vs an and)

I provided a login for you. Pleas advise.

    Thank you

Additionally, the includes pulls in the taxonomy values (ie only allows these in — and all of these in) and the and/filter reduces the list once a value is clicked. However, it should not at all affect the initial page load.

The includes allow in only those posts that have the stated taxonomy terms in every one of the includes lines. If a post has a term that is included in one taxonomy, but not in one of the other lines, it will not appear.

Are you able to talk with me on Skype?
