I am trying to set up the pagination with the search and filter pro and I am having some trouble. I am fairly new to WordPress and HTML so I have no idea what the CSS Selector is when it says to put it in the pagination box in the search form editor. Is it possible to get a detailed walkthrough on how to do it?

Hey Desiree there is no tutorial

You must have some knowledge of html/css and css selectors…

Do you have a link I could look at?

    Thanks

Ah! Its not specific to this plugin but you can set it up following WordPress instructions:

    http://codex.wordpress.org/Pagination#Example_Loop_with_Pagination

Or you can try a plugin – https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-pagenavi/

    Thanks

Hey Desiree, I’m looking at your site, and it looks like you haven’t got pagination set up anywhere?

The problem you are having is with your theme and thats not covered by support I’m afraid.

If you can make the necessary modifications to your theme – to enable pagination, then Search & Filter will use that pagination for the Search Results.

Here is a post that explains how to setup pagination with your theme – http://www.elegantthemes.com/blog/tips-tricks/how-to-add-pagination-to-wordpress

To be honest – pagination is usually standard on themes, so I would check with the theme author on how to enable this.

    Thanks

I have pagination on the homepage of my site and it shows up in my settings so I’m not sure what’s going on. I will see if I can contact the author and see what they say. Thank you for the help you have given me so far. I really appreciate it.

Ah ok, so pagination will work with your theme thats great.. So what you need to do, or if you can ask the theme author, is how to enable pagination on search result pages.

Do you know which template you are using to display your search results?
