A general question about binary options. Can you kindly explain the best way to set up the following with ACF and S&F.

In the back end I want to set up posts as either ‘black’ or ‘white’ with a radio button (a post has to be either of these options). But in the front end (the search form) I want the user to be able to select…

    – Don’t care
    – Black only
    – White only

… for the posts. I suppose I could set it up as a checkbox in ACF with those three options and then always manually tick ‘Don’t care’ by default, and then make it a radio button for the search form, but this seems messy/tedious. Ideally I would like to have a ‘black’/’white’ radio button in the backend and a dummy option in the S&F search function (‘don’t care’) that does nothing and therefore shows all posts.

What’s the best way to approach this?

    Regards,
    Ross

In S&F you could set the options up manually and as a check box field. I think there is a way to make the value for the third option to be the same as ticking both other options. Try it by ticking both black and white and looking at the url it creates, and then try to duplicate the query string with one option.
